Making your way to Sun Park Living
In many ways, Lanzarote is a different world from the UK, with its awe-inspiring volcanic landscapes, rugged coastlines, golden beaches and idyllic climate. And yes, you can sail to us too, the wonderful Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca is a living testament to that.
And yet, we’re still part of Spain (and therefore Europe) and English is widely spoken here: making it incredibly easy to settle in and feel at home. Click here on this wonderful birdseye view of Playa Blanca to get directions from the airport.
And this is us. We look like a digital 8 from above! As you can see we are a stone’s throw (450 meters) from the nearest beach, Playa Dorada (or Golden Beach) and 5 to 8 minutes walking distance from the town. So yes, great location indeed.
One of the joys of being here is knowing that we’re only a short flight away from most UK and EU airports: and as there are daily flights in operation, friends and family are never far away!
Routes to the island are served by most low-cost airlines including Monarch, EasyJet, Ryanair, Thomas Cook, Thomson and Jet2 among others. Find your flight to Lanzarote with Skyscanner.
ACE (Lanzarote’s airport) is a small airport and it takes only a few minutes to get through passport control, collect your luggage, and emerge into the sun.
And getting here from the airport couldn’t be simpler. There is a range of options, including public transport and taxis – but by far the easiest way is to take one of the many door-to-door shuttle services.
Sun Rockers’ favourite operator is www.lastminutetransfer.com, they will pick you up at the arrivals lounge and bring you right to our doorstep in around 30 minutes, the cost for a shuttle bus service (maximum stops 3) is 20EUR per couple (the larger buses – low-cost transfers – are cheaper but take much longer).
If you prefer, the local bus is also an option, although there´s no direct service and would have to stop over at Puerto del Carmen. You may take the local bus #61, which costs 3.25EUR per person per journey, it stops everywhere, it takes up to 2 hours, and it´ll drop you at the bus station in Playa Blanca, which is only 10 minutes walking distance from us (you may take a second local bus from the station, bus #30, which will drop you right outside Sun Park Living, saving you having to walk with your cases) or a local taxi for around 5.00EUR. Alternatively, you may choose to drive down by renting a car for the day, for roughly around 25-30EUR for the day, or simply take the taxi option, with a 30-45minute journey, costing 45-50EUR plus tips.
